What this site collects, and why

This is my personal website. I collect as little as I can: enough to reply to you and to see how people find the site.

Who I am

This site belongs to Georgios Chatzimanolis, based in the Netherlands. If you have a question about your data, use the contact form on the home page.

The contact form

When you send a message, the form collects your name, your email address and your message. They are sent to my inbox by email so I can reply to you.

Server logs

Like most websites, the server keeps standard access logs for security: your IP address, the page you asked for, and your browser. They are deleted after 90 days.

Analytics and cookies

I use Google Tag Manager to load two measurement tools: Google Analytics, to see which pages people visit and how they found the site, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to measure visits that come from Facebook and Instagram. They set cookies, so they only run if you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you click Decline, none of these scripts load and none of their cookies are set.

You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Your choice itself is remembered in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.

When they are on, Google and Meta process the data under their own terms. You can read how in Google's privacy policy and Meta's privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask me what personal data I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Reply to any email from me or send a message through the form, and I'll take care of it.

If you think your data is not being handled properly, you can also contact the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Links to other sites

This site links to my podcasts, products and social media profiles. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
